Since launching the first formaldehyde-free discharge printing ink in 1998, MagnaColours has worked hard to reduce the volume of harmful chemicals used in the textile industry. By offering alternatives to harmful materials used in production and helping companies and brands large and small switch to water-based printing.
With our range of water-based inks and a global network of sales, print specialists and technicians we work with global brands and manufacturers to supply products that reduce the volume of harmful chemicals used in the production process. MagnaColours works hard to ensure that our products are safer and better for the environment, production staff and end-users.
We are proud to state that much of our MagnaPrint product range is certified for Oeko-Tex and ZDHC and included in the latest Nike database for approved products.

Zero Discharge of Harmful Chemicals
Roadmap to Zero
The ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme is a coalition of fashion brands and value chain associates working together to eliminate and substitute hazardous chemicals for safer ones in the production processes of garments and textiles.
Since its inception in 2011, the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme has grown and developed into the ZDHC Foundation which has overseen the creation of the ZDHC MRSL. This is a list of hazardous chemicals that manufacturers and retailers should eliminate from their supply chain. Over 20 global brands and retailers have signed up to the ZDHC roadmap so far, working towards eliminating the use of hazardous chemicals in the production of garments and textiles.
MagnaColours has its Eco Pigments and a core range of MagnaPrint products certified to ZDHC Confidence Level 3. Discharge Ranges are certified to level 1.
Oeko-Tex Eco-Passport
Oeko-Tex Certification
Eco Passport by Oeko-Tex® is an independent certification system for chemicals, colourants and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry. Each ingredient used in the manufacture of our certified inks are analysed to ensure it meets the Eco Passport requirements and that it is not harmful to human health. Our inks certified under Eco Passport can be used for the production of Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 garments.
MagnaPrint Eco-Pigments and core MagnaPrint products are Eco Passport certified.
GOTS
Global Organic Textile Standard
GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS certified final products may include fibre products, yarns, fabrics, clothes, home textiles, mattresses, personal hygiene products, as well as food contact textiles and more.
Key MagnaPrint and MagnaTrans inks and additives are approved for use as inputs in the production of GOTS certified products.

MagnaColours® has an ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System and an ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that our customers get consistent, good quality products and services, which in turn benefits their businesses.
