Magna takes the stage to launch new initiatives at ISS Long Beach

At MagnaColours, we took this year’s ISS Long Beach show as a wonderful opportunity to launch two new industry-leading initiatives. Bringing together industry leading brands, screen-printers and manufacturers, this was an exciting way to show our peers, competitors and customers the ways in which we continue to lead the change towards sustainability.

ISS provided the perfect stage on which to launch both our online training tool, MagnaAcademy, and our new industry standard GNA®. The reception of both of these new initiatives was, and continues to be fantastic.
MagnaAcademy stands to be of great value to our customers, giving them easy access to important education and guidance, so that they can get the best out of the Magna range. We also launched our stringent new industry standard, GNA®, encouraging the use of water-based inks across the industry, and continuing towards our goal of eliminating the use of harmful chemicals in screen-printing. The feedback we received on GNA® at the event has been incredibly positive, with many people commending the rationale behind it.
Helen Parry, Managing Director at Magna said: “Both GNA® and MagnaAcademy have been very well received, especially considering that ISS was the first time they had been revealed. Since then we have received an encouraging number of registrations from leading brands and garment printers. After the immense amount of research, planning and work that has gone into developing and launching these initiatives, it was incredibly rewarding to receive positive feedback and interest.”
“ISS 2017 was a fantastic success for us, not only in terms of GNA® and Academy. We received a lot of interest in our stand and our water-based inks, and visitors were very impressed by our printed displays and the high resolution print results that can be achieved using water-based inks. We were also able to showcase our reflective range in our dark room which created a real ‘wow’ factor. At this year’s ISS, we received 20% more enquiries than last year, an encouraging indication that more printers are exploring the potential of water-based inks.”
